Nature has provided us with many different options to help establish balance and a lifestyle focused on wellness. Although living organically has been a recent trend, in actuality, we are driving further and further away from organic options and moving closer to man-made chemicals. In fact, it is completely possible you have put up to 17 toxic chemicals in your body today. Some of these chemicals are DEA (Diathanolamine), MEA (Monothanolamine), FD&C color pigments, GMO’s, and a long list of other ingredients which have been labeled as “generally safe” by our Food and Drug Administration.
If you’re already scared of these “generally safe” substances, that probably means you are aware of what is being put in our food sources and home products – things we use everyday. An overall health conscious person understands their body wasn’t meant to interact with chemicals and poisons.
We have strayed very far from the balance our body needs in order to stay healthy. A new study has concluded that cancer is on the rise. This article, shockingly stated that over 1.7 million new cancer cases will be diagnosed this year. The things we put into our bodies plays a large role in the outcome of our future wellness. I, for one, am ready for a change. In the age of digital distraction, we must come out from the shadows and show the world we are educated about our health.
Mother nature has given us everything we need to pursue a balanced life and I would like to share a trinity of balance with you today. Kratom, CBD oil, and turmeric are all items that will aid in the journey towards a positive change within your body and mind.
#1 – The Kratom Tree
After researching/writing for over two years for Kats Botanicals one thing that has impacted me the most is the teachings of Shamanism. Shamanism believes that man and plants are symbiotic in nature. This means the relationship we have with plants is a revolving door. One cannot survive without the other. We breathe out carbon dioxide, they take it in and expel oxygen for us. To me, there is no mistake. The art of Shamanism and the symbiotic relationship between man and plants has such a strong influence on the way plants and humans interact together.
There are many different ways in which plants can benefit our life. One plant in particular is called Kratom. Discovered by Peter Korthal in the 1800’s, he noticed the people consuming the leaf had a peculiar ritual with harvesting, drying, and consuming this plant which had seemingly been passed down through the generations. Thus, showing us that Kratom powder has been helping people discover a wellness lifestyle long before you and I ever heard about it.
Generally drank as a tea, the leaves are crushed into a powder and consumed. Alkaloid properties in the leaves are what the tea drinker is looking for and there are many different ways to gain these properties. Natives also chewed the leaves. Now, people pack the powder into capsules and take it in pill form as well. There are many ways to consume this plant and no matter how you to choose to do it, you quickly see why people choose this natural solution over chemical-made pain medications. While we cannot talk about Kratom effects, there is plenty of research and testimonials to back-up the positive effects.
#2 – CBD Oil
It has been said that hemp is one of the first crops of early man. It is quite satisfactory to learn that even society of long ago understood the benefits of this plant. After a couple of years working here, I also began to relax my hard stance of “Kratom only and nothing else.” I broke down and started taking hemp oil every day. The results were significant as you can see in the post I wrote about why I decided to buy CBD oil.
While there are many benefits, one which stands out is the story of Charlotte Figi. Charlotte was born with various health problems, one of which caused her to have serious seizures. She was diagnosed with Dravet’s syndrome at an early age and her parents felt completely helpless, which is understandable. In that position, I would have also considered anything to help my child, which is exactly what they did.
They began a regimen of cannabidiol (CBD) and THC ratio. The results were amazing. Thanks to their open-mindedness, many doctors and scientists are legitimizing the use of CBD among other alternative treatments. It’s about time. Our body wants to find relief using natural options, not chemical ones.
On top of that, your body has a system which lies dormant until it becomes activated by CBD Hemp oil. This is called the Endocannabinoid System and it is a powerhouse of potential. Sadly, not everyone will be exposed to the full capacity of the their ECS because they haven’t ignited it with CBD. This alone should be the reason you begin hemp oil in your daily routine today.
#3 – Turmeric Powder
Turmeric is the third, but definitely not the least important, botanical you should fit into your program to lead a balanced life. One of the reasons the Kratom community loves turmeric is because of the compliment it brings to their Kratom dose. Turmeric powder is a natural Kratom potentiator, so it works quite well to make it last longer.
However, there are other impressive side effects when taking Turmeric. What makes it so special is the active ingredient, curcumin. Studies have shown curcumin is a natural anti-inflammatory compound. It is said that curcumin can neutralize free radicals, and stimulate parts of the body’s defense system towards wellness. It has also been said that curcumin increases brain function and could reverse the steps to heart disease.
There are many valuable reasons as to why you would want to include each of these botanicals in your daily routine. Currently, we are faced with our very own FDA putting labels of safety on foods that have been known to have weed killer in them. It’s amazing to me that we are expected to continue this type of lifestyle.
Kratom, CBD oil and Turmeric powder create a dynamic trio when taken together, but also equally as powerful when taken on their own. It has long been known that human beings achieve first signs of health and balance by what they put inside their bodies. Ultimately, it has to be the consumer to decide what it is they will be eating, drinking, etc. The only way to make informed decisions is through research and education. What is organic? What is a pure and/or natural ingredient? What is a GMO? And on and on…The team at Kats Botanicals is dedicated to helping people find their own path to balance and wellness. Whether it is for welcomed relief or just supplementing your current lifestyle, we are here to help you navigate through all the options. The reason we can guide you is because we consume these ourselves and are constantly broadening our knowledge base on these (and other) botanicals. So, try one or all three, either way, do not hesitate to reach out and inquire as to what can work for you.
