As a Kratom community member, the past couple of weeks have proven our government is getting closer to making a decision on the Kratom ban.
Over the past year, passionate Kratom consumers are doing everything they can to stop this proposed Kratom ban. Currently, the American Kratom Association has formed a petition that every Kratom customer should sign, asking acting Director of the DEA to reject the scheduling of Kratom by the FDA.
We have called, wrote, used Resistbot to contact our representatives in Washington. We have used social media and did our best to educate those around us, but it seems like the negative news press keeps getting worse about Kratom.
Personally, I feel alone in this fight. I know this is a ridiculous thought because there are thousands people who are doing exactly the same things I am, but I guess I feel as if I am flying solo because my voice isn’t being heard.
What would really help is knowing that we had someone in Washington who could represent the scientific facts of Kratom without a predisposed bias against it. To have a person on our side who had the influence, clout, and determination to find the real truth about Kratom; this is what we need.
Dear reader, I have some great news! If you have been feeling like your voice hasn’t been heard either, keep reading. What I’m about to tell you could be the game-changer in this proposed Kratom ban.
Forces to Reckon with in The Kratom Ban
While the FDA has come against Kratom with full force, they did not count on all of the qualified scientists, doctors, and government representatives who were going to step-in to share important facts about Kratom.
The American Kratom Association has done their due diligence during this fight and their challenge to the FDA is clear – “Follow the Science”.
During this past week, you have read articles in relation to different allegations the FDA has made against Kratom, saying Kratom has been the cause of death in many cases. One can scratch their head in wonder and question the reasoning behind these allegations – because they just don’t make sense.
Jane Babin, another force to reckon with during this proposed Kratom ban, took some time to create a report about Kratom to call out the FDA for their kindergarten-like attempts to provide scientific (and biased) evidence against a plant they clearly have an agenda with.
In a recent press conference with the American Kratom Association, AKA Chairman, Dave Herman speaks with Dr. Jane Babin about these very facts. Take some time to watch the video below.
With the FDA, we expect they will analyze new substances under the guidelines of the New Dietary Supplement Act…millions of Americans have chosen, under the Dietary Supplement Act, to use Kratom. The FDA and other regions of our government need to respect those choices. ~Jane Babin
You have advocates all around you. These facts are strong and they share some of the wobbly stances the FDA is trying to push across the DEA’s table so that Kratom can be banned..
The House Study Committee on Risks With Kratom
Throughout this year, we have been fighting and trying to have our voices heard and on August 21st, 2018, it feels like somebody listened.
State Representative Vernon Jones has been appointed by Speaker David Ralston to the House Study Committee on risks associated with Kratom.
Why is this good news?
This state representative is questioning the accuracy of the statements made by Scott Gottlieb and the FDA against Kratom.
These newly released studies give us an opportunity to get to the truth about kratom. We have seen too many instances where bureaucrats in Washington think they can tell the states what we should do and feed us misinformation to justify more regulation. ~Vernon Jones
What Jones is referring to is the study released by Jane Babin about the faulty scientific evidence claimed by the FDA.
Babin shares her expertise and eloquently dismembers the claims made by Scott Gottlieb where he blames a series of deaths on the usage of Kratom. Mr. Gottlieb’s flawed claims failed to mention that other substances and/or situations were present amongst these subjects. The prevailing cause of death was not and could not have been Kratom.
This is good news for the Kratom community.
Someone who is in a position of power and influence has the opportunity to share their opinion with the news media instead of the garbage which is being displayed across your local televisions recently.
Here is what the average American has been seeing on their T.V.
It’s a biased campaign of slander against a plant, when uncontaminated, does not cause any harsh effects or death. In reality, what you just watched was the effects of other substances in this person’s system – not just Kratom – and that’s what they won’t tell the public.
But what’s next for the Kratom community?
We continue the fight. We look forward to someone like Vernon Jones, who is willing to assess the scientific evidence of Kratom , not what other government institutions say is true with no back-up.
This is good news. As the result of indisputable scientific evidence, this could be the chink in the FDA’s argument against Kratom. Now is not the time to let up.
We’ve got to keep up the fight. These harsh attacks against Kratom is an obvious attempt to obtain the average American’s negative opinion about a plant they know nothing about – meaning the more negative viewpoints the FDA can get against Kratom, the easier their job will be in this proposed Kratom ban.
With scientists like Dr. Jack Henningfield performing a flawless 8-factor analysis test proving Kratom is no more addictive than a cup of coffee, and PhD. Jane Babin sharing the scientific flaws within the FDA’s accusations (see her whitepaper above), anyone who approaches Kratom from an unbiased point of view will rule in favor of the science.
That’s all we ask. #FollowtheScience
