White Vein Kratom Guidebook

White Vein kratom is one of the most popular strains of Kratom for many reasons. This type of kratom is widely available, highly effective, and it provides a broad array of benefits.

As you may already know, leaves and stems harvested from the Kratom tree have been used as a natural alternative for thousands of years. The plant originates in southeast Asia and is an integral part of entire cultures in that region, including those in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Borneo. In their native environment, Kratom trees can grow as tall as 100 feet or more, and they’re botanical relatives of the coffee plant.

Kat’s Botanicals specializes in importing, testing, and shipping the highest quality Kratom sourced from the most reputable vendors. When it comes to White Vein Kratom in particular, we get a lot of questions from those new to the strain. So, we’ve compiled this White Vein Kratom Guidebook to use as a reference.

All about White Vein Kratom Strains

white vein kratom plantWhite Vein Kratom is one of the three main Kratom color categories, including Red Vein and Green Vein. The use of the word ‘Vein’ is a reference to the leaf venation that is found on the undersides of the Kratom leaf itself.

While there is only one species of what we conventionally call the Kratom tree (Mitragyna Speciosa), there are many, many methods of cultivating, harvesting, and processing the plant matter. These different techniques yield leaf veins that vary in color. Hence, there are multiple different Kratom color designations as a result.

As for the effects of White Vein Kratom, they can be classified as uplifting. While other Kratom strains are known for promoting feelings of calm or tranquility, White Vein Kratom is used to enhance motivation and feelings of optimism.

The Effects of Using White Kratom Alkaloids

‘Alkaloid’ is just a fancy term that is used to describe the bioactive molecules naturally found in plants.

In the case of White Vein Kratom, there are two specific alkaloids that are largely responsible for the effects the herb provides. They are Mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine. While virtually all Kratom tree leaves have higher concentrations of Mitragynine than 7-hydroxymitragynine, the latter has a much more pronounced effect.

It’s important to note that Kratom leaves also contain up to two dozen or more ancillary alkaloids that work to synergize with Mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine. Some of these include:

  • Mitraciliatine
  • Isomitrafoline
  • Mitraversine
  • Stipulatine
  • Corynoxine A and B
  • Many, many more

As the Kratom leaf is dried using one of many different techniques, the alkaloid profile changes. When this happens, the coloration of the leaf vein changes. Alongside Red Vein and Green Vein Kratom, White Vein is one of the resulting leaf vein colors that commonly results from Kratom post-harvest processing.

White Vein Kratom Origins

Contrary to what some may think, most (80%+) Kratom strains start as Red Vein Kratom. That is to say, the leaves have red veins at the time that they are harvested from the Kratom tree. The reason for this is because Red Vein Kratom trees are especially hardy, and they outlive the other, rarer varieties of Kratom tree. So, naturally, they’re easier to grow commercially.

history of kratomWhere things get confusing is when distributors and suppliers use their own color categories to differentiate their products. For example, it’s quite easy for a supplier to mix White Vein Kratom with a strain of a different color and then simply call it ‘Yellow’. There is no industry standard for color mixing ratios, naming nomenclature, or strain definitions, which adds yet more confusion to the mix!

For this reason, it’s critical to purchase Kratom from a supplier that understands the international Kratom market. Kat’s Botanicals is unique in that we have direct supplier relationships with the Kratom farmers themselves, and we send our Kratom products through a disciplined gamut of testing, ensuring that our customers get only the purest, most effective White Vein Kratom available anywhere.

There are two main ways Kratom tree farmers obtain this incredible plant before drying, processing, and shipping it to the US:

  • Wild. Kratom trees that grow in the wild are not given prescribed water, nutrients, or metered sunlight.
  • Plantation-grown. Kratom plantations will actively sow, farm, and harvest Kratom trees in defined areas, given the plants specified water, nutrients, and sunlight exposure.

These two cultivation methods are responsible for the development of alkaloid profiles that are quite different even before the drying process begins.

White Vein Kratom Processing

Did you know that White Vein Kratom trees actually do exist in the wild? The same goes with Green Vein Kratom trees. The little-known fact, however, is that these trees are very rare, and they’re not as likely to survive their growing environment as a Red Vein Kratom tree is.

So, technically speaking, it would be possible to harvest a rare Green Vein Kratom tree and then process the leaves so that a white venation pattern would result.

What causes the white coloration is the sheltering the leaves receive after harvesting. To create a White Vein Kratom strain, cultivators will bring the newly harvested leaves indoors for a prescribed time (often just a few days), before bringing them back outside for ‘final treatment’ by direct sunlight.

History of White Vein Kratom Use

For thousands of years, the Kratom tree has been used by traditional communities native to southeast Asia. The leaves of the kratom plant are commonly chewed fresh from the tree, or dried and pulverized to create a powder that can be easily dissolved into water, coffee, or tea.

Because of the strong, earthy taste of Kratom powder, it’s common to add other flavor enhancers like orange juice or other fruit concentrates. Some people who take Kratom get used to the taste and are able to take the powder on its own as part of the ‘Toss and Wash’ dosing technique. Still others prefer to mix their Kratom in with their yogurt, oatmeal, or apple sauce.

In recent years, Kratom has gained an enormous following here in the United States. People throughout the country are discovering the powerful benefits that can come from the responsible, informed use of this amazing plant.

White Vein Kratom is typically available in five different formats:

  • Crushed leaf
  • Stem-and-vein
  • Loose powder
  • Encapsulated powder
  • Extracts

Crushed Leaf

Crushed leaf White Vein Kratom has a consistency that is similar to tea leaves. It’s not ground down as fine as powder, and it’s a great option for making brewed Kratom beverages.

Stem-and-Vein

Just like it sounds, stem-and-vein White Vein Kratom contains a slightly different alkaloid profile compared with dry leaves.

This variety of Kratom is popular for those who want to ‘switch up’ their Kratom dosing routine. What’s more, stem-and-vein Kratom takes longer for the body to process, meaning the active alkaloids remain present in the body for up to 50% longer than powdered leaf Kratom.

Loose Powder

The loose powder format of White Vein Kratom is suggested for first-time Kratom users.

This is because dosing is easy, and it’s the perfect way to gauge how your body reacts to the White Vein Kratom plant alkaloids.

Encapsulated Powder

Not a fan of the taste of Kratom? No problem! White Vein Kratom is available in encapsulated powder format, with per-capsule dosages ranging from 500 mg to one gram.

White Vein Kratom capsules are a great option for discrete, convenient Kratom dosing without having to deal with measuring the powder yourself.

Extracts

For more advanced Kratom users, White Vein Kratom extracts are available. These products are highly concentrated distillations of the plant matter, and they definitely pack a punch!

Kat’s Botanicals recommends extracts as a way to augment existing Kratom dosing regimens, and we don’t suggest them for those new to the herb.

One of the most common questions we get from those looking to try White Vein Kratom is how much to take. Generally speaking, a good ‘default’ dosage size is about 2.4 grams—roughly the size of a level teaspoon. Corresponding extract dosages will be much smaller in volume, as extracts can be as potent as 50x the strength of loose powder.

It’s not recommended to exceed more than two doses in a 24-hour period.

White Vein Kratom Lab Testing

There are hundreds of independent sources of Kratom in southeast Asia.

white vein kratom lab testing

This makes lab testing incredibly important. The only way to supply a certifiably pure Kratom product is to have it tested by a third-party laboratory. This is costly, however, which is why so few US-based Kratom vendors bother with it.

The Kratom experts at Kat’s Botanicals invest heavily into independent lab testing for our Kratom products. At Kats Botanicals, we use a third-party laboratory to test our Kratom products. Other than finding a reputable Kratom supplier, the other major safety step you should take is to inquire about outside lab testing. Using a third-party laboratory means the tests are objective and unbiased.

This lab screens our products for the presence of heavy metals, bacteria, and other pathogens. Any shipment we receive that contains harmful contaminants is immediately isolated and destroyed or returned to the supplier. Only the highest-quality, purest Kratom makes its way to our customers.

At Kat’s Botanicals, we’re passionate about bringing the best White Vein Kratom to market. We think you’ll agree that our White Vein Kratom is second-to-none.
