At Kats Botanicals, we believe in our high-quality CBD products and strive to be as transparent as possible with our customers. We are proud of our CBD products because we hand-select our source and follow a rigorous extraction method.

Organically Farmed

Our CBD is sourced from organic hemp farms located high in the pristine Rocky Mountains of Colorado; an area renowned for producing some of the best hemp products in the country.

The crop of hemp plants is precisely drip-fed a blend of organic fertilizers to grow strong plants and maximize yield.

Controlling the farming process allows the farmers to minimize the use of chemical pesticides and herbicides that can contaminate the final CBD products. The high altitude of the farms also reduces the growth of mold.

Whole Plant Extraction

At Kats Botanicals, we use a specialized whole-plant extraction technique, which allows us to extract a wide range of cannabinoids in addition to the CBD for a pure, full-spectrum product.

Hybrid Alcohol Wash

The whole hemp plant is ground up and left to soak in a solution of ethanol which binds to cannabinoid chemicals and removes them from the raw plant material. The ethanol wash is then drained and evaporated. The evaporation process removes the ethanol, leaving raw hemp oil which is then filtered.

Winterization

Winterization is a cold-filtering process. The raw hemp oil is mixed with a solvent and then frozen which causes the lipids to crystallize and separate from the hemp oil. This precipitate is then sent through a high-velocity filter to remove the solids, leaving behind clear hemp oil.

Distillation

Short-path distillation uses the process of vaporization to evaporate the solvent from the CBD oil. This process occurs in a vacuum at a low temperature and pressure to minimize cannabinoid degradation. The final product is clean, pure full-spectrum CBD oil.

Purification

To create our CBD isolate, our full-spectrum CBD oil is further distilled, then put through a process called chromatography to separate the CBD from the remaining cannabinoid compounds. Once the CBD has been isolated, it is then crystallized to form a flavorless, odorless powder.

Quality Assurance

At Kats Botanicals, our aim is to provide the best CBD products on the market with pure and safe CBD oil. We use the latest farming and scientific technology to bring you an exceptional product that is second-to-none.
