Store It Right: Keep Your Kratom Fresh Through the Holidays
Stocking up only pays off if what you buy stays fresh. Heat, light, air, and moisture are what wear down kratom over time. A few simple habits keep it at its best:
- Go cool, dark, and steady. A pantry or cabinet away from the stove, windows, and heating vents works well. Big temperature swings break down kratom faster than steady storage does.
- Seal out air and light. Keep your kratom in its resealable pouch with the air pressed out, or move it to an airtight, opaque tin or dark glass jar.
- Keep moisture out. Moisture is kratom’s biggest enemy. Skip humid spots like the bathroom, and always use a dry scoop.
- Keep it labeled and up high. Store it in its original labeled packaging on a high shelf, out of reach of curious hands and paws when guests are visiting.
Pro Tip: Buying bulk? Divide it into a smaller “everyday” container and leave the rest sealed. Opening the main supply less often keeps it fresher, longer.

Industry Insights: A Quick, Encouraging Check-In
Across the country, lawmakers are increasingly separating natural leaf kratom from concentrated and synthetic products. That’s the distinction we’ve pushed for all along, and this fall brought real progress:
- Federal: The DEA’s revised 7-OH proposal targets products with concentrated 7-OH and leaves natural leaf, where 7-OH occurs only in trace amounts, alone.
- North Dakota: Lawmakers replaced an emergency ban with a law that keeps natural kratom legal for adults 21+.
- Pennsylvania: The state House unanimously passed a bill to regulate kratom, not ban it. It now heads to the Senate.
- Kentucky: A statewide sales ban takes effect January 1, 2027, so Kentucky customers should plan ahead.
