The American Kratom Association (AKA) recently shared an update on two current Kratom legislative developments in Louisiana.
On Thursday, May 25, 2023 the Louisiana House passed House Bill 655: Kratom Consumer Protection Act. The next critical step is the Louisiana Senate Committee meeting on Tuesday, May 30 when they discuss HB655.
The Louisiana Senate passed a ban bill on Monday May 22, 2023. The Louisiana House Committee is tentatively meeting Wednesday, May 31 on the Senate Ban Bill that passed 5/25. Your advocacy can make a difference today and over the next few weeks.

Please use the first form to tell the Committee Members to Pass HB655/ Kratom Consumer Protection Act. You can add a brief message about why Kratom matters to you.
Please use the second form to tell Committee Members NOT to support the Kratom ban bill. You are encouraged to briefly explain how the ban would negatively impact you.
